The London Ambulance Service (LAS) is a National Health Service trust that is accountable for quick responding to medical emergencies in London with its ambulances with latest technology and other response vehicles along with its staffed by well-trained, enthusiastic and proud people who are all recognized for contributing to the provision of high-quality patient care.

The LAS have a range of staff, Ambulance Community Responder team and volunteers. Whenever LAS receive 999 emergency calls from people, respective staff and volunteers of LAS will come within eight minutes most of these patients and treat you, depending on the seriousness of the condition. If someone is seriously ill or injured, and their life is at risk one may call 999 immediately.The LAS supports more than 1.5 people for emergency medical services each year. The LAS has a branch of UNISON which is a powerful voice for working people in London, and always under monitor of the Patients' Forum.
